Hi I’m Laura and I recently joined the team as the company’s Finance Officer.
I’m delighted to be part of First Tutoring having previously worked as the Finance Manager for a busy secondary school in Salisbury and prior to that running the finance function for our family business.
Having grown up in the New Forest I attended Newcastle University studying genetics and began my working life as a clinical embryologist in London followed by roles in the Civil Service in the department of Trade and Industry and HMRC. The latter sparked my interest in finance and I subsequently retrained in accountancy whilst raising my three children.
I enjoy being outside with my dog and horses or trying to tame my unruly garden and I’ve recently had a go at line dancing which helps keep me fit and is much harder than I imagined !
