Hi my name is Jade, and I am passionate about helping children develop their confidence, enjoy learning and to reach their full potential in a way that works for them.
I am delighted to be part of the Forest 1st tutoring team as I believe every child deserves to feel supported and valued throughout their learning journey.
I am a primary teacher with 14 years of teaching experience across the primary phase , including the past 10 years working with junior-age children. One of the wonderful things about primary teaching is the opportunity it gives you to explore so many exciting subjects .I have a particular passion for reading and writing and I also specialise in science . I love to watch children's curiosity flourish as they learn about the world around them.
At the heart of my teaching, is the importance of building positive relationships and ensuring children feel cared for and understood. I aim to make genuine connections with children and to create a safe and supportive space to learn where children feel comfortable asking questions, explore interests, making mistakes and learning in their own way at their own pace. I believe that when children feel confident and secure, they are better able to embrace challenges and see their potential.
Outside of teaching, I am a proud parent of two wonderful boys whom I love spending time with baking, playing games, watching them play rugby. We also enjoy going out for walks with our mischievous dog!. In my own time, I love to read science fiction and fantasy, baking tasty treats and being outside in nature whenever I can.
